CREATING A LOCAL PRINTER MAPPED TO A REMOTE SYSTEM

How would I go about creating a local printer that is
mapped to a remote system printer? I have a program that
will not print on a network printer and the instructions
state to do this and refer to windows instructions which I
can not find.
