crashing

Can someone please help me?
I don't know much about computers, and i am having
problems.
I a running windows xp and my computer keeps crashing
sometimes after a few minutes and other times later.
The only way to reboot is to switch off at the plug this
happens everytime i switch on.
Any help would be great

Your problems could be hardware related. Such as, failing Power Supply,
overheating CPU, inadequate cooling
And it could be XP doesnt like one of the programs you are using or
incompatible Device Drivers.
