crash due to KB824146

posted this in the setup and upgrade newsgroup as well:

has anyone experienced instability after installing
KB824146? my system began crashing and only stopped when I
removed the patch. I've installed all service packs and
have done all win updates. the crash message said
something about turning off anti-virus software, which is
not an option.

I have installed the KB824146 patch and my system is
running very very slowing and the processor is at 100%
usage. I have Sp3 Installed, and all other 2000 security
patches.

Any info on this would be helpful
