Crash after sp2 and further updates

Hi,

I installed sp2 and, even though I elected to be notified of updates first,
Windows Update automatically downloaded 2 further updates (of 4Mb & 2 Mb). I
was then told to install them, so I selected to install them separately but
when I did it just hanged for hours with no progress showing on the progress
bar. I canceled, but the screen wouldnt go, so I rebooted. The updated tried
to continue in the close off screen stage, but that went on for hours too so
I had to close down.

It started up ok, and again Update told me to install (only one update
showing now) and the same thing happened - appeared to hang, no progress etc.

Tried to reboot, got the blue screen (dump) etc. Finally got it up and going
again and Update is telling me to install KB834707 again. I'm a little
reluctant seeing as I have lost a days work already with these updates.

What is going on?

Gay,

I don't know, but perhaps http://www.michna.com/kb/WxSP2.htm
gives a few hints. Could be an incompatible driver.
