Cr Update #824146 Lock Up

I installed C update #82414 on 9/10 and my computer locked up twice that day
The first lockups since I setup the OS. I am running XP Pro. After
uninstalling it runs fine with no more lockup. Is anyone else having trouble
with this update. Auto update keeps telling me it wants to update it again.

Hello

It seems to be that Update #82414 causes some trouble to some users. I
haven't had any troubles so far with the update.

I don't really know the problem :(

Same for me!!!
Fine now without 824146. It used to lock up especially
anytime I tried to reboot.
My BIOS settings were changed too!? Not sure how but my
Bios kept getting reset without an LPT1 port and
consequently there was no printing available in XP then.
OK now though...
