CPU will not turn off automatically.

After installing latest updates for w2k my cpu does not
turn off automatically anymore. It puts up the it is safe
to turn of now message. Any way to fix this?

This is a new one IME. :-)

a) go to support.microsoft.com, and search there for the problem you
describe. There may be a fix. There is also a way to report the problem, but
I don't know about that - haven't had any problems with W2K I couldn't deal
with (or live with.)

b) go back to a prior level. (First rule of "updates:" If It Ain't Broke,
Don't Fix It!)
