CPU usage too high

Running XP Pro. After I restart PC runs fine for a while. Maybe a couple days
goes by and performance slows dramatically. Checking CPU usage, it hovers
around 60-70%. No programs are open. Already checked for spyware with spybot
and viruses. Again, if I restart, everything is perfect initially. Any
suggestions? Thanks.

Thanks for the tip Andrew. I'll try that. I have checked when the CPU usage
is high, and the only thing taking up cycles is system idle and system
processes. I'll see what those look like when CPU usage is low.

Forget System Idle and concentrate on System. System Idle is the
difference between what is being used and 100%.

Hope this helps.
