CPU usage 100%

many times after my kids get online and IM with their friends, I notice the
fan in my computer running long after they've logged off. If I try to
connect to the internet upon noticing this, I am unable to because it appears
that my CPU usage is at 100%. I have been able to go into msconfig and
uncheck items that open at startup and this has taken care of the problem, so
far. I get this box before shutdown, upon doing the msconfig steps: "end
program - Notification Wnd for RNAdmin"....the program is not responding so I
have to choose the box to end now.
any ideas as to why this is happening, and why it seems to happen after the
kids have been online? I do virus scans and nothing shows up. Also,
curious as to exactly what items I need to have checked to open at start-up.

Most likely your PC has some spyware/ adware on it. Find

and download/ install Lavasoft Adaware and Spybot search
and destroy to remove those items. And run the disk clean
up tool to remove the temporary files. Also here is a
