After being on-line for awhile my CPU usage jumps to 100%
and stays there even when I disconnect and shut down
programs that are running. The only way to clear it is
to restart the computer. I have update antivirus and
have done a full system scan, I have checked for adware.
I ran some Sandra Diagnostics and it said that
MS_webcheckmonitor was using a large amount of
resources. In Task Manager the process using the
majority of the CPU is system, and there is no process
called MS_webcheckmonitor. I cannot find it when I
search my files althoug I did find it in the registry
under HKey_Users - S-1-5-21-...... - Software -
Microsoft - Search Assistant - ACMru - 5603. For awhile
I had a cacheboosting software running which worked but
it was only a trail and it has run out. Can anyone tell
me what ms_webcheckmonitor does and how to disable it or
to empty from the cache. Thanks
