Dave, my Windows Defender did not detect Win32/Cpmsky, last night I run a
full scan and this morning a quick scan. Updates are up today, real time
protection on.
pop ups continues.
I have Norton Antivirus 2008.

Hello jardila,

Have you tried to do it in Safe mode ? (F-8) How to start Windows in Safe
Mode

In safe mode, some of the protective services which these programs use to
ensure that they aren't removed, are not running, so they are easier to
remºve.

Safe mode prevents some, but by no means all--spyware services from running.

It is an excellent way to get started if something is resistant to cleaning
in normal mode, but it may not be all that is needed.

Have you scanned your system with your Antivirus (updated) in Safe Mode ?

Have you scanned your system for malware (spyware, adware, trojans, and
other pests) using other tools, like
Ad-Aware 2007 Free <http://www.lavasoft.de/ms/ad_aware_free.php>,
Spybot S&D Free <http://www.safer-networking.org/index2.html>,
a-Squared Free (formerly a² free) (online)

ewido (online) <http://www.ewido.net/en/>,
Pest Patrol (online)

Donload and Install SuperAntiSpyware (Free Home edition)

Scan Your Computer With the F-Secure Online Virus Scanner

Dave, I think he's getting popups generated by the malware, but none of his
defences are actually detecting anything. At least, that's how I interpret
his post.

Sounds like the first job is to try the other scanners (SAS etc) to actually
get a detection.

"Hello, here I am CPMSKY, and by the way here's a pop up for something
that you'd be interested in."

That brought a smile into the afternoon. The new, friendly face of
self-aware malware?

Microsoft, Windows Defender had bee detected the malware, check these link

I have been using Windows Defender for the last 6 months. Windows Defender
has to protect my PC from these kind of threats (popups)
Now my question for Microsoft is: I run several times Windows Defender Full
scan and it never detects and remove these annoying adware. How can I remove
CPMSKY from my pc?

Thanks - I'm glad to hear that you got this cleaned up. About the only
other thing I can say is that if you are able to find a malware executable
or component that Microsoft does not properly detect or clean, submitting it
via the sample submission process at the security portal:
www.microsoft.com/security/portal

(see the "submit a sample: button at the top center)
is helpful to every Microsoft customer--and that's a lot of folks to be
grateful!

Anyway--sorry that Defender let you down in this instance, and I'm glad
you've been able to find the resources to get cleaned up.
