Corrupted TCP/IP and Winsock, Is the only solution......

I have a XP machine and for what ever reason, it appears
that the TCP/IP Stack is corrupted. At least that is
what Sony says.

Sony says the only way I can get them back correctly is
to do a System Recovery. That is such a painful process,
and will require me to lose probably a whole day or more,
just getting the computer back to normal.

I have already tried KBA 299357.

Are there any other possible solutions.

What problems is the computer having that led you to contact Sony?

Steve,

I am still working on the same problem you tried to
answer in a different thread concerning my computer not
having internet access without a bridge. The reason I
called Sony, was because I was trying a new approach, to
solve this problem. But the Sony guy really didn't seem
to know much more than me.

Is there someone else I should have called? MS directs
you to call the computer mfg.

Geoffry
