Windows XP and TCP/IP

TCP/IP has gotten corrupted in WinXP SP2. My registry has gotten corrupted
and despite running a repair, chkdsk, and Add\Remove windows components
I can not get any networking components to load.

when I tried to load simple tcp\ip I get an error that the file or registry
key is missing or corrupt. How can I add this key/file manually?

Type this line at a command prompt, then reboot:

netsh winsock reset catalog
