corrupted PST or OST

Hi,

I have a user who's pst file and ost file just keeps
bombing out i tried everything from going through all
11,000 emails and cleaning up his system to defragging. I
move most of the emails to a archive and the rest i just
deleted,but when he uses the offline feature he can only
use it a couple of times and then he can no longer open
outlook. Is there something i'm missing or do i need to
upgrade him to outlook 2003? This user is currently on
w2k and 02k but we do have plans to move to xp and O2k3 if
this will fix his problem please let me know.

Outlook 2002 and Exchange 2000 both have a limit size
for .pst and .ost file of 2 Gigs. If your user is close
to this limit his/her Outlook becomes unstable. Reduce
the size of his/her e-mail account.

My pst file just hit 2GB....what can I do to recover the
file? scanpst.exe does not work

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
