Corrupt User Profile

For some reason my user profile has become corrupted, and so i tried to
follow the microsoft adivce on moving all my files to a new user profile as
described in http://support.microsoft.com/kb/811151

However, when i try to access the files in the corrupted profile, it
displays a message saying the folder in 'documents' is "Access Denied". Does
anyone know what I may be doing wrong, or another way to retrieve my files?

Any help on this matter is much appreciated.

Take ownership of that folder and then copy the contents:
