corrupt message

Ihave the following message:

/WINDOWS/Prefetch/EXPLORE.EXE-27122324.pf

is corrupt.
What does it mean and how do i fix it?
Also my computer has taken to shutting down a lot! and a
blue screen appears,what is this.

The porefetch log file looks corrupt. Go to c:\windows\prefetch folder and
delete the files. this should fix.

Delete the file and reboot, Windows will make a new
