IMO, the information at kgiii is reasonable and accurate, and
useful, but ... also IMO I think it depends entirely too much on
the use of the RUN command and Registry edits (as in Hide Desktop
Icons, etc). Every one I looked at was available through
standard menu choices, and that, IMO is a much better way to
access those things, especially in the cases of registry hacking.

There's something majestic about using the run commands. Not to mention
they're easier (and don't require screen shots) to put directions down for.
Me, I'm "KGIII," and my silly usage of the PC has pre-dated such things as a
GUI or a mouse even. So many of the things on-site there are geared towards
getting it done quickly and easily without the need to open a lot of
screens. It's faster for me to explain how to press WinKey + R > type
"something" > press enter than it is to get someone to go to the control
panel and to admin tools etc. That and you never know if they have classic
view or the category view, the classic startup menu or the new one, etc. I
do appreciate your feedback and there are a FEW cases where we have screen
shots or tell folks to use the GUI.
I think I defined it best here:

;-)
If, on the other hand, you'd like to translate all the pages to GUI versions
we'd happily upload them along side the others. We're cheap, we'll take all
the help we can get as there are only two of us working on the project and
lately it's been set to the side for a couple of months so that we can get
something else done.
Once again, thanks for the feedback and much appreciated.
