copying user profile

I have a home PC with win xp sp2. I created a user account "Default User"
that will act as the default profile for my dhildren on this PC. When i
attempt to copy the user profile (System Properties> Advanced> User Profiles>
Settings> Copy To) I receive the following error: "Failed to set Security on
the Destination Profile. Error - Access is denied."
I created new users called Child 1, Child 2, etc. temporarily with full
admin rights. Logged on and then off for each new user.
Closed down machine and restarted. Logged on as Admin.
Attempted to copy settings from "Default User" to newley-created username by
browsing to each user name in C:\Documents and Settings. Make it most of the
way through and then get the "Failed to set Security on the Destination
Profile.error - Access is denied" message.

I feel like I've tried everything but am hoping one of you has a suggestion.
Please feel free to ask a question for clearification.

thanks
Mark
