Copy user profile

There is a PC with XP Pro on NT domain. I need to join
this PC to a new Windows 2000 domain. The current PC user
always logs on NT domain. The user needs to use the
current NT domain user profile after logging on Win2k
domain. How to make it happen? Thanks.

I would think the easiest way to do it is to copy the
user's profile to the "Default User." You would have to
backup the Default user first of course. I would also
delete the orginal profile as well, I have had bad
experiences with W2k (don't know about XP yet) about
changing over domains. The problem was, is, that we
locked down the user's in user group but ran into
problems bacuse during the transitioning of domains
recreating the profile it put a ".domain" at the end of
the directory. like so "c:\documents and settings\%
username%.%yourdomainname%" You should go through system
properties to copy it over, then set the permissions to
everyone, login to the new Domain as that user, then when
your done, copy the original default user back.
