Currently I have all my XP machines joined to the DOMAIN1 domain. I plan on
migrating to Windows 2000, so we will have a new domain name mydomain.com

With XP, when you join a pc to a new domain, it creates a new user profile.
I want to join the XP machines to the new domain WITHOUT creating a new user
profile.

How do I join all of these XP machines to the new domain and NOT lose all of
my users documents, email, desktop, etc?

You can use the Files and Settings Transfer Wizard and/or the USMT tool to
migrate settings and files, but if it won't migrate what you need migrated
then there is no way to solve the problem.
