Very simply, I copied one user profile to another using windows explorer.
THe source profile was for a domain account and the destination was a local
computer account. Both accounts were set up to use the same e-mail accounts.
I was using the standard location for my .pst files within the profile.
When I logged into the local profile after overwriting it with the domain
acct I could not see any e-mail since the last time the local account was
used, approximately 3 weeks ago. Of course, the domain profile is empty and
I did't create a restore point....duh.
A) Why did my outlook data files not copy over and B) is there any way at
all that I can retrieve that e-mail? SOme of it was quite important.
Thanks
