copy photo file to CD in the same order

can someone please tell me how to copy a file of photos to CD in the same
sequence that they are in the original folder. I have a bunch of photos
taken at different times that I have arranged into a particular order, but
when I copy them to CD the order is changed

Yes it certainly is. By itself, XP copies files in lexical order. Thus,
all the arranging did was change the appearance on the screen.

To get them copied in the order you prefer can be done by renaming them to
be in the order that you wish. Doing this gets old in a hurry.
