Copy & Paste

I have recently noticed that if I try to copy a file and
paste it to a different place the paste option is greyed
out, I have run both my disk cleanup and then the
defragment prog.

Any ideas?

sadly shaking my heading in bewilderment, wondering why so many people think
that defragging is the computer's panacea.

Do you suppose the fact that it's under "Tools" on the drive menu and
you usually fix something using a "Tool"?

The keyboard short cuts do work either.

In reply to Josef Stalin - I thought these newsgroups were places people

could get advice on problems, not for people like yourself to gloat about
how clever they are and not consider those of us who are less knowledgeable.

Huh? What did I say? Clever I am not. I've learned just about everything
I know from this newsgroup which is why I spend so much time here. For
every post I submit, I read over 50. My goal in life is to be 1/100 as
