Hi.

A quick google search didn't turn anything up, but I may have not been using
the right terms.

When I click on the Copy or Move action on the left side of a folder, a box
comes up showing the available destinations. This box is very long, and it
always comes up positioned such that the lower fifth of the box or so is
off the bottom of the screen. I have to move the box up, select my
destination, and then click OK. The next time I go to use the box, it
comes up in the same (old) position, and I have to move it again.

Is there a way to make this box's position permanent?

Thanks!

Joshua,

Resize the Copy To/Move To dialog as you wish and then close the dialog by
clicking the Red X button at the top. The settings should be retained. If
not, manually clear the following registry values.

"Browse For Folder Width"
"Browse For Folder Height"

Under the following registry key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer

Thank you for that tip. That saves the size, but the location of the box is
still lower than I want when it opens. That means I still have to enlarge
the window and scroll when I open a folder with many sub-folders. Is there
a way to save the opening location?

You're correct. The dialog location defaults to the center screen,
irrespective of
the Window size. There is no workaround, afaik :(
