Copied PST's to new harddrive but can't open

I copied my PST's from an old harddrive to a new one and
copied them to Windows/Local Settings/Application
Data/Microsoft/Outlook. This folder already contained new
PST's so I copied an old PST file called 'archive' and
another old one called 'outlook' which I
renamed 'outlook1' because an existing file was already
called 'outlook'. I still can't open my old emails. What
should I do next?

You haven't really said why you "can't" open them...what have you tried? Do
you get any error messages, and if so, what are they (exact text please)?

When you open outlook now it is probably opening the
existing "outlook.pst". Close Outlook. Rename Outlook.pst
(for example: sample.pst). Open outlook. You will get a
message saying that outlook.pst could not be opened. You
will then be able to search for and select your old pst
file - outlook1.pst.
