convert Character to Unicode in VB.NET

i want to knw if there is any function or method in VB.NET that converts a
particular character in english to its equivalent character in Hindi or any
other indian language..
and i wd also like to knw is there any method or function in VB.NET that can
help in getting the unicode value of a particular character..
