Control Panel Stops Responding

I click on Control Panel. It opens, but the hour glass
never goes away. I click to close, and I get "The program
has stopped responding" dialog box every single time.
This machine is less than 2 weeks old. It has all the
latest MS updates/packs, is on a Linksys router with
Norton Internet Security & Anti Virus. Scan disk checks
out OK and everything else works fine. Help Please.

No. I couldn't find anything in Kelly's Korner pertaining to your Control
Panel opening to no response problem either. What can you find in the Event
Log? Don't forget checking for malware (Ad-aware, Spybot, etc.). A
workaround might be to go back to a system restore point, or a repair
install, and finally a clean install. If all things fail, of course you
could return the machine to the shop: it is under warranty.
