The machine is a new E1505. Sometimes the control panel's 'classic view'
will show no pictures at all, just generic folders for each application, and
other times it will show 4-5 pictures and the rest of the icons will be
generic folders.
See if deleting the IconCache.db file. Click Start/Run and type:
%userprofile%\Local Settings\Application Data\
Select the file named "IconCache.db" (hidden file) and delete it.
Restart Windows.
