Control Panel and Internet Explorer Icons

Hello,

I recently installed StyleXP and the theme changed my
computer's icons. Now, after turning the theme off and
deleting it, I now have lost the icon for Internet
Explorer and the Control Panel. I use the Internet
Explorer Desktop Icon (not a shortcut), and the icon is
now one of those generic white page icons. It displays
fine in the Start Menu.
For Control Panel, the link in My Computer is again one
of those generic icons. And the link in the Start Menu
is a folder icon, not the Control Panel icon. I have
tried downloading other programs to change the icons and
I have tried changing values in the Registry. But the
program won't work. And I don't know how to specify
which icon to use.
Should I uninstall and reinstall Internet Explorer? But
how can I do anything about the Control Panel?
Thanks!

See if you can undo the changes via the program. I have never used any
third party desktop/theme changer so, can't help you.

Suggestion: In Desktop Properties, go to Themes and select Windows XP.
