ContolTip text not appearing

I have seen this topic a couple of times in this discussion group, and still
no resolution.

I am also having the problem where my ControTip text is not appearing.
Access 2003. The database was completely developed in 2003. I have tried
the "bring to front" with no change.

Can ANYONE help us out with this one? These worked in previous versions...

Try selecting everything but the text box and choosing "Send To Back" then
select only the textbox and choose Bring to Front. The text should appear
within 1/2 to 1 second of the Mouse Over.

Actually, these are not text boxes. One is a calendar control and the others
are command buttons.

CORRECTION!! It isn't the calendar control. It's an image that I use to
control the appearance of the calendar control.

Replace the word "textbox" with the word "control"

I've run out of ideas. Oh wait 1 more. If you have a rectangle control
around the button, first try sending it to the back, then try deleting it
altogether.

Interesting.... I just created a new form within this database. Put a text
box in it. Put a control tip for that text box. Nothing. Doesn't work.
there is nothing else on this form.

Tried placing a control tip on a control on a different computer (brand new)
and you can see the tip. So, this has to have something to do with settings
or even perhaps an add-in or something along that nature.
