When I open outlook and then go to contacts, it only shows contacts for a few
seconds and then goes to an "Ask Jeeves" search page for "contacts". I don't
even use outlook for emails, so don't know how/why this is happening. How can
I stop it?

Right click on "contacts" and go to properties. There is a "home page" tab.
Go to it...I bet askjeeves is set as the home page.

Just delete it and unclick "show homepage by default for this folder"

Jaye, No address showing in contacts if I catch it before it goes to Jeeves.
However, when I go to properties when Jeeves is there, it does point to
Jeeves, but there is no way to change it. There is only the "General" page.
Thanks.

Have you done a search for viruses and spyware on your PC?

Jocelyn, I run Virus updates weekly, but have done nothing about spyware.
Thanks. Jack

AdAware and Spybot Seach and Destroy are two other free programs you can
install and run weekly -- they catch things like redirects which are not
viruses but are nuisances (at best).

Jocelyn, You are an angel. Downloaded Ad-ware and Spybot. Ad-ware found some
things, I deleted them, restarted and outlook is clean. Thanks for staying
with me. Jack

Glad it worked! Make sure you run those programs often...
