Searching Contact subfolders (Outlook 2007, running Vista)

When I search for a contact either in the address book search function on the
tool bar or in a new email I want to send the subfolders that I created for
all my contacts are not available. The subfolders were transferred with the
rest of my Oulook folders from an earlier version of Outlook on my previous,
defunct, PC. How can I search the subfolders? without opening each?

Enable the Outlook Address Book option on the additional Contact folders.
This option can be found in the Contact folder properties.
Instead of multiple Contact folders, consider using a single Contacts folder
and categorize your contacts.

Why don´t you simply index these subfolders so that you can search in them?
Or is this not possible in Outlook Search? I don´t like Outlook Search, it´s so slow and it often return no items though i know that they are existing...

Hey

I do not know if it is possible in Outlook search to index these subfolders because I gave up on it a long time ago. I think it is kind of embarrasing for Microsoft but the best search tools are definitely made by other people ( www.lookeen.net as an example). Maybe this tool can help you to search your subfolders.
