Contacts missing Ful Name and addresses incorrect

M

Mike

This just happened in the past few days. We have recently changed out our
mobile phones and I do not know if that is related.

Problem:
Looking at contacts in Outlook and on mobile devices some fileds are empty
such as Full Name and address which were populated a few days ago. If you
open a contact and select the Full Name button, it will populate the full
name field (in 2007, but not in 2003) and all will be fine. It appears as
though we have to open and resave each contact for it to clear up.

Unless there was soem Microsoft update that I don't know about in the past
few days, nothing has chnanged on the workstations or server. The only
change has been changing phones we active sync.

Environment:
Exchnage 2007, Office 2000-2007 (depending on the users), Windows XP and
Vista, Motorola Q on Sprint network

Any help woudl be appreciated!

While this isn't something I'd _expect_ to happen, it doesn't surprise me,
given your mix of Outlooks and sync tools. I'm not sure of the complete
compatibility between ActiveSync and Windows Mobile Device Center, mostly
because I haven't compared them myself. Also, WIndows Mobile V6 can behave
differently than WM5 or other versions. It may be that modifying the
contact entries to cause their rewrite may be your best amelioration tool.
