contacts automatically added

when i recieve an email which has been sent to people i dont know, their
emails are saved into my contacts list, how do i prevent this?
 
While in your mail program, click options, then tools, then options, then
send tab, then uncheck the "Automaticly put people ect, ect, ect. hope this
helps, good luck
