Contacts Address book problem

Carol

My address book is not associated with my contacts. I have tried all of the
solutions I can find and none will work. Here are my specifics:

In the Address Books tab of the Account Settings box, Outlook Address Book
(type = MAPI) is listed. I cannot remove it as that option is dimmed. I also
cannot add a new one as it already exists. If I select the Change option
there, it is not listed.

In the Outlook Address Book tab of the Contacts Properties box, "Show this
folder as an e-mail Address Book" is also dimmed.

In my Contacts view, I have three versions of the Contacts folder. They all
appear to be the same (same size).

How can I reassociate my address book with my Contacts? (If this is a clue,
I believe I enabled Business Contact Manager after I had been using Outlook
2007 for a while.)

Thanks very much!

I think you need to create a fresh profile in the Control Panel's Mail
applet to deal with the issue you're having...

Okay, I did that. Did that create a new .pst file that I have to import my
existing inbox and contacts into? (Sorry, I'm hesitant to experiment too
much for fear of screwing something else up. )

sorry i'm being dense. i now have new mail inbox items in the new profile
and none of my old folders, mail, contacts, etc.

In the Control Panel > Mail applet > Data Files tab add the old PST then set
it as the default.

Great, that worked. Thanks for your help!
