Address Book and Contacts

I tried to add my contacts to the Outlook Address book but the selection box
is subdued. I clicked on the Contacts folder for "properties" and then
clicked on the Address Book tab. The selection box to show Contacts as an
address book is subdued so you can't select it. Does anyone know how to fix
this?

Version of Outlook might be a good idea......

Your mail profile is damaged and the Outlook Address Book service isn't
working correctly. You may be able to fix it or you may need to create a new
mail profile, but it depends on your Outlook version, which you decided wasn't
important enough to mention.
