Constantly getting request for password. How do I make it stop?

I have MSOutlook 2007 and am connected to my company via MS Exchange Server.
I am constantly getting a request for my password. Telling it to remember my
password has no effect. Sometimes Outlook will receive new email and
sometimes I'll come back to my computer after several hours and I'll have to
go to the bottom right corner and click on the button that says "Need
Password" which then produces the same screen where I put in my password and
then it downloads the latest emails. But my Outlook is supposed to be
connected to the server at all times and it is never to be offline. My IT
department says it is a flaw with Outlook and how it works with Exchange
Server but since they are both Microsoft products I have to wonder if you
guys have found a work around. This has been going on for months and I'm
getting quick sick of the constant bother.

Someone sent a link to an MS suggested solution but the steps were for
Outlook Express. What they said to do I can't figure out how to do in Outlook
2007. Can somebody help me with the right set of directions and please give
them in clear English not computer speak. Don't assume I know Outlook
backwards and forwards. I just want it to work!

I believe that was I. The link I sent should have pointed you to a number of
articles. The one that mentioned Outlook Express also mentions Outlook.
Perhaps you didn't read it thoroughly.
