Constant Drive A: access noise

How do I stop WP Office from attempting to access the "A:\" drive each time
I click on "open" a file. Don't remember when it started but wasn't
something that occurred at the initial installation of the software. It's
both time consuming and annoying in terms of the drive chatter made while
it's attempting to open a file from the floppy drive.

Also occurs at windows shutdown

Remove Office Quick Find feature in Start up to prevent this from
happening.
