Connector 2002/3 Outlook 2003 Local Notes nsf file

I am trying to keep Outlook alive in a Domino/Notes world! Two user I look
after have Connector, one works perfectly the other has regular problems let
me explain.
Both run on identical notebooks with Windows XP Pro SP2 with Outlook 2003.
The client who has problems has very large pst file (uses Outlook as a very
good filing system) I thought it might be a size problem so have two pst's
now - one large one (400Mb) for all the filing and the other (30Mb) for
inbox/outbox. This client also has Lotus Notes (Version 6.5) on the Notebook.
Lotus Notes works fine and is configured to do background replication to
their Domino Server. Outlook 2003 however often gets itself to using 99% cpu
and stays there (left it for an hour) - the only way to terminate it is using
task manager. After that always run scanpst on both the local pst files. It
appears to me it is a problem with deleted files. I have just checked again
and see no "trash" on the mailbox on the Domino Server, no "trash" on the
replicated mailbox on the Notebook. But items appear in the Outlook Deleted
Items Folder despite Emptying this folder.
For the sake of speed it would be really good if Outlook could connect to
the local replicated Lotus Notes Database rather than the Domino Server. Can
this be done?
Failing that anyone got any ideas why Outlook suddenly goes to 99% cpu use?

Alan, I am having the similar problem with the cpu going to 99%. I have
tried the connector on 2 laptops. My regular laptop runs great. My tablet
is experiencing this 99% cpu problem. They are accessing the same notes mail
database. The tablet seemd to load fine but within a few seconds after sync
completed it goes to 99%cpu and stays there. I posted problem on tablet
group thinking it was a table issue and MVP suggested posting here.
Hopefully we will get to the bottom of it. I am running Outlook 2003
(11.6359.6408) sp1 and Outlook Connector for IBM Lotus Domino (2.0.4007.0)
The Notes release I am running is 5.0.1.1

I am having exactly the same problem. Anybody has any ideas on how to solve
it? Thanks.
