connection to website problem

Having a problem connecting to a specific website.
Website is active, NSLOOKUP gives me the correct IP, PING doesn't respond.
Problem is not linked to IE or other browsers because they all give me a
negatieve response when connecting to that website. On a second PC,
connected to the same network, everything works just fine even the PING.
Somehow the first PC is blocking a connection to this IP adres.

any ideas?????

When you bring up a command window and do a Ping by name, does ping
show the same IP address that your nslookup showed? If not, look in
your 'hosts' file for a bad entry.

Can you ping by IP address instead of name?

can not ping at all to that website, nor by URL neither by IP adres.
Hosts file is not being used at all.
