Connection Problem

Hi all,

I have a 2003 TS which is fully patched sitting next to sbs 2003 premium
edition. My problem is connecting, I can connect to the TS box, enter
credentials, see it applying setting and then it kicks me out .. just closes
the window. There is nothing in the event log at all. I do not get any
message at all .. nothing. This also applies to the domain administrator as
well. I have checked the users are in the RDP group, have checked the local
policy on the ts box to see allow logon on through terminal services.

I can connect to the SBS via rdp with no problem, I can connect from the sbs
to clients via rdp with no problem so it is not a 3389 issue.

Can someone please help me.

Kind regards

Mark

Just a wild guess: do you use a Nvidia driver on the Terminal
Server? Immediate logoffs are a known problem with some Nvidia
drivers:

840655 - You are logged off a Remote Desktop session when you have
an NVIDIA video card installed in Windows Server 2003

I'm sorry, my fault. I gave you an outdated link, Microsoft has
written a new KB article about this issue:

886212 - You are unexpectedly logged off when you try to connect to
a computer that is running Windows Server 2003 or Windows XP
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=886212

Basically, you have to update your Nvidia driver on the server.
