connection icon problem

hi using xp home with two users A and B if I log ont B first and connect to
the internet the icon in the right side does not appear and if I go into
show all connections it say its disconnected but its connected ok ! if I
first go into A then log off then into B all is fine connected shows up and
the icons there. Weird ?
