Hi all,

I have a sony SNC-RZ30N IP camera and am trying to connect to it's onboard
webpage in order to operate it. I have already assigned an IP adddress to
it, and all the connections are connected using an ethernet cable from my PC
to the camera. The camera even indicates by a light taht it sees the netwokr
connection. My problme is getting my computer to recognize the camera and
contact it's built-in webpage.

Hod do I get the computer to recognize and tap into the camera?

I have a network running on a MS wireless router to the internet. And I
select ADD A NETWORK PLACE, and proceed to type in the http://(ip address),
but to no avail.

Help!!!!

Update.

I am trying to get this camera to work on a laptop running windows xp. The
company from which I bought the camera was able to get it working, and since
I brought the laptop and cam home, I cannot do what they did.

They said the tcp/ip stack setting had to be changed to get it to work with
my network.

And they said it is a simple 5 step process they could tell me over the
phone. Well, they never called back after me checking in every so often for
such a call ALL DAY today.

Can someone help!!!

Thanks.
