Connected BUT Can't Display Pg

Hi,
Using Win98 SE, IE v.6.1 (I think). I'd cleaned my hard drv, del files,
ran Ad-aware and now I can get a dial-up connection to my ISP (People PC) but
IE will not display any web pages. I reset to default options in IE. Still
the same. Don't know what else to do. Also, tried using Netscape and it would
not work neither.
Thank you in advance for any help.

Probably Winsock is damaged:
LSP-Fix - a free program to repair damaged Winsock 2 stacks (all Windows
versions)

Nass,
Finally got laptop back. Downloaded your file and ran it, but it did not
fix my problem. Also, tried the link Frank gave me, but it didn't work
neither.
I then went to Add/Remove program for IE 6 with SP1 and chose Repair. I
didn't do anything except slow down my connection speed to 28.8 kb.
Did a search for the file, Winsock. Found 2 in the Windows directory
called:
winsock.old and winsock.dll
Other suggestions appreciated. Thank you.

Frank,
Tried your link, but no resolution. Also, tried to repair IE using
Add/Remove programs, but no fix. Other suggestions appreciated.
Thank you.
