Connected a second (microsoft) USB mouse and can't get the wheel to work?

Hi there.

Im running Windows XP SP2 + all fixes released. Upon til today I only
had a "Microsoft Natural Wireless Laser Mouse 6000", connected through
USB. Everything worked well, except for the poor performance in games
which is why I decided to buy another mouse.

Today I got the "Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer 3.0", which I also
connected on USB. Now it seems these two mice can cooperate on the
system with just one, VERY annoying glitch. The mousewheel on my
Intellimouse explorer just wount work, unless I unplug the Wireless
laser mouse, then the wheel instantly works.

Im using the latest (v6.1 I think) drivers for intellimouse from
Microsoft. No matter what settings I seem to try in the drivers
nothing activates the wheel, only unplugging the first wireless mouse
makes it work, instantly.

Is there any way of getting this to work together? Or is the only
(ugly IMHO) solution to disconnect/connect the mouse I'm using at the
moment?

Dudde, unpluging the other Mouse should be a small price to pay for an
increased performance in gaming.

Small price, that might be so. :) But there is a saying in Småland in
sweden: Free tastes good, (gratis är gott) so if anyone else knows of
a "free of charge" solution I would still be very interested.
