Conflict with CD rom not reading former backup disks after upgrading to Win XP

I backed my programs onto CDs using Windows ME before
doing a reformat and clean install of the home version of
Windows XP. After installation, my CD-RW (LG (Lucky
Goldstar) CD-RW CED-8083B) will not read the backup's.

Next I checked in with the manufacturer (Roxio) to find
any driver updates for EZ CD Creator version 4.05 and
couldn't find any.

I tried to use my backup ME CD's to back back into Win Me
out of XP, but the CD-RW won't read the microsoft back-
up's either.

Anyone know of a backdoor way to access these files?

You need to upgrade EC 4.xx to EC 5 or 6 4.xx will not
work with XP

EC 6 oem $12.00 and buy junk cable $2.00
