configuring Windows XP fax ervice

I have a DSL service and a Netgear router. I have
configured my fax service but when I try to send a fax I
get the message that there is no dial tone. I show my
current modem as Lucent Win Modem. Is my route affecting
the connection? What do I need to do to get the right
configuration? Thanks

Lyle

Connect your modem to a phone jack via a filter. You
should have been give filter for all of you phones and the
modem is a phone.
