Computers Internal Speaker beeping every 2 minutes

I don't know exactly where to start.. the internal speaker on my friends
computer beeps 10 times every 2 minutes exactly, and as far as we know,
nothing has changed in her computer, no hardware changes, and no software
changes on her computer in the last 2 or 3 days. She says last night, she
turned it off, everything was fine, and it started doing this today when she
turned it on.

All temps are normal, all the fans are spinning normally, and no funny
smells or anything coming out it. Any information I have been able to find
about problems from Bios warning beeps to dispabling the Beep in Computer
Management Non-Plug and play drivers does not seem to fix the problem. A
virus scan didn't pick up anything either.

So, as far as I know, her computer is fine, and I have no idea why it's
beeping like this. The only option I can think of is for her to unplug the
speaker, but she is not very computer literate when it comes to messing with
the hardware stuff. It also does the same thing in safe mode. So any help
with this would be greatly appreciated

The best thing to do is to call the computer manufacturer and ask what that particular 'beep code' means. Sometimes you can find this information in the computer's user manual.

I posted on some forums, and they told me that the bios beep codes stop once
the GUI is loaded. The problem is, it beeps every 2 minutes, 10 times.
Someone else also said it could be a bad ram module, so I need to find a good
memory test program for 64-bit processors.

"Park" the system in the BIOS setup (just get in
and leave it there on the main screen).

See if the beeps still persist.

If they do, it has NOTHING to do with XP, and
everything to do with a hardware fault of some kind.

Look for a "PC Health" option in the BIOS and review it.
