hey there,
The other day i used a programme called 'Tuneup 2008' and it told me that if i deleted a programme called 'hibernate' i would have 600mb free on my hard drive, so i thought, "well, i dont use hibernate so this is fine"

However, when i put my comp into standby it wont come out, it just freezes.

Im guessing this is because ive uninstalled the hardware that saves the specified data in order for your computer to come out from standby?

so, what should i do? any programmes i could download.

Thanks for the help again

The thing that brings comps in/out of standby is like a built in programme right?

If this is a desktop PC, set all power-saving to never ...

Click Start, click Control Panel, click Performance and Maintenance, and then click Power Options ... set all to never

Check all the tabs and especially untick Hibernate.

ok ima try that ,not sure how it will help but here goes...
Simply, it will stop you using standby mode, quite useless on a desktop PC ... IMHO.

Tune-up utilities are worthless, learn how to use your OS and all the "tools" are there. :thumb:
