Computer won't automatically hibernate

when i set my power option using Win XP to hibernate after
two hours, it won't hibernate at the alloted time. it just
stays on the whole time. although my moniter will turn off
at the appropriate time, my computer won't. any solutions?

Can you force it to hibernate without difficulty?

The solution I found was a new set of SoundMax audio drivers on the Intel
site dated 7/11/2003. Standby and hibernate both now function properly
