Computer starts by itself

Hello:
My computer is starting by itself. If I do not plug in my phone line to the
modem
then it does not start by itself. When I plug in the phone line then at
some point
in time (minutes to hours) it starts up. I checked my bios settings and the
"Auto power on" is disabled. Also the "reset on power failure" is off. I am
running WinXPPro with svc. pk 2 installed and all critical updates installed.
I ran SpyBot, Ad-aware, AVG, and CW Shredder and they reported no bugs. I
also am running
the free edition of Zone Alarm as my firewall. It could be a coincident
that the
unit starts when I plug in my phone line but I don't think so. I ran HiJack
This but
I didn't see anything that looked like it shouldn't be there.
Help/Suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Thank You,
Don

You have a Modemgeist! You need an exorcist, not tech help!

Check to see to see if you have a "Wake Up on Modem" setting too, either
in the BIOS or part of you modem properties in Device Manager.
